THE ROOMSThe colours of the rooms represent the last colours of autumn, a time central Otagos trees are beginning to shed the leaves for another winter. Your bed blankets have been spun from Wanaka farmed Merino, hand woven, purely for the hotel. Merino sheep produce New Zealand's finest wool. Central Otago is the centre of New Zealand's Merino farming, where the sheep graze on highlands. Fishing is a national pastime and the rivers that run into Lake Hawea offer anglers fantastic fly fishing. Kay Todd has produced the art pieces, photographing fly's in a contemporary way, with the idea of bringing the surrounding water ways into the rooms.
All Hotel Rooms have uninterrupted views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Family SuitesWe can make the room up as a luxurious super king or twin configuration downstairs, with a single and double bed option upstairs.
Studio SuitesWe can make the room up as a luxurious super king or twin configuration. A roll away bed can also be added if need be.
Note that two of the studio suites are Access rooms, with shower only
THE LODGEThe Lodge offers bunk bed low cost options for up to 40. Communal showers and toilets are available, as is a lounge area and cooking facilities. Perfect for fishing and hunting trips, or large groups. |
