Hawea, Wanaka Wedding Venue - Terms and Conditions
The Venue is FREE to hire for a wedding of 50 guests or more
Our wedding packages are based upon a minimum of 50 adult guests. Any wedding with numbers less than 50 adult guests will result in a venue hire of $1500.00.
Our "In house wedding planner" can help take ALL of the stress and hassle away from you. Planning and coordinating ALL of your requirements, from Flowers, Hairdressers, Beauticians, Celebrants, Reception decorations, DJ's or bands etc, right through to personalised cocktails for the day. The cost for the complete service is $1000. (Perfect if you are based remotely, and have limited time on the ground here in Hawea to get everything in place for your special day).
A signed copy of these terms and conditions is required to be completed and returned to the Hotel along with your deposit at the time of the booking. Once we receive the deposit we hold ALL of the hotels accommodation for your guests. A grace period of 14 days will be given from the time of pencilled in booking until the confirmation and deposit are received. The Lake Hawea Hotel reserves the right to accept bookings from other clients at the elapsing of this grace period should the deposit and documentation not be received.
Confirmed Numbers and Arrangements:
At an arranged meeting 7 days prior to your wedding a guaranteed number of guests attending is required. This will serve as the minimum number to be charged. We will also go through the wedding run sheet in detail for the final time. At this point we will require the final sign off of approval from you.
Food and Beverage Selections: Food and Beverage Selections:
Please confirm your beverage and menu selections at least 60 days prior to the event or as otherwise advised.
Full cancellation of one night’s accommodation rate will apply when accommodation is cancelled inside 48 hours prior to arrival. No shows will automatically be charged back at the first night’s accommodation rate and automatically cancelled from our system.
In addition to the initial booking deposit, the final payment is required no later than 5 days following the event.
Should cancellation be necessary the following would apply: 12 months prior Full refund of deposit 9 – 12 months prior 50% refund of deposit 6 – 9 months prior 25% refund of deposit Within 6 months Loss of deposit
The organiser(s) agree to ensure that no dangerous goods or food and beverage consumables are bought on site, that no decorations or displays are erected without prior approval of management and that all guests and attendees conduct themselves in an orderly manner in full compliance of the hotel management.
Changes: Menus and conditions are subject to change in accordance with seasonality, availability and personal requirements.
